We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager - Commodity Purchase to join our team in the automotive manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in purchase management and a strong background in the automotive sector. This role demands strategic thinking, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement effective commodity purchasing strategies to meet the company's cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with potential suppliers. Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure optimal value.
- Cost Optimization: Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to achieve cost savings and improve purchasing efficiency.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and finance to align purchasing activities with organizational goals.
Qualifications :
- Educational Background: B.Tech/B.E in a relevant field.
- Experience: 12-15 years of experience in purchase management, specifically within the automotive industry.

- Proven track record in strategic purchasing and supplier management.
