Refex Renewables & Infra Ltd (Refex group) is looking for a business development manger to develop the solar power business vertical. Focused on open access solar projects.
The Solar Business Development Manager will lead the identification and acquisition of strategic solar opportunities, manage the development and execution of solar projects, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires expertise in market research, financial evaluation, negotiation, and stakeholder management to drive the company's growth in the renewable energy sector. The manager will also support the team in participating in tenders, exploring international opportunities, and assessing potential asset acquisitions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Opportunity Identification:
Actively seek out new solar opportunities as per management requirements.
Evaluate solar requirements based on client needs, including Net Metering and Solar Open Access projects.
Identify and develop Opex projects and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
Feasibility Studies:
Conduct feasibility studies for setting up solar plants.
Analyze financial models to evaluate project viability.
Evaluate the feasibility of developer-mode projects.
Technical Knowledge:
Possess expertise in solar power installations and technologies.
Stay updated on the latest solar trends and technologies.
Understand solar plant design and operational assessments.
Have knowledge of solar costings and financial evaluations.
Expertise in Net Metering and Solar Open Access regulations.
Regulatory and Policy Knowledge:
Be well-versed in solar policies of different states.
Understand the approval process for setting up solar plants.
Knowledge of tenders, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Expertise in negotiating and managing PPAs.
Performance Evaluation:
Evaluate solar plant performance, including PLF (Plant Load Factor) and generation assessments.
Assess operational solar plants, wind plants for asset acquisition.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
Successfully negotiate land acquisition deals with landowners.
Manage all contractual and legal aspects of land acquisition.
Negotiate PPAs and other key agreements related to solar projects.
Report and Documentation:
Prepare reports and presentations to support team activities.
Assist in documentation and continuous follow-ups on day-to-day activities.
Additional Knowledge:
Have a good understanding of wind plants and CBG (Compressed Biogas) plants.
Provide support to the team with technical and financial documentation.
