Manager / Asst. General Manager - Logistics

RAIN is seeking a Manager / Asst. General Manager - Logistics who'd be handling the independent Plant Logistics with safety and ensuring all compliance in line with relevant Work Order terms and condition.

The ideal candidate will plan and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries.

Role and Responsibilities

• Capable to handle Plant Logistics independently and safely
• Plan and monitor inbound and outbound movement on day-to-day basis in co-ordination with Production planning and control team
• Schedule truck movements and manage traffic within the Plant
• Plan and execute truck movement for loading of Rake and Ships
• Supervise logistics, cargo loading, transportation, and customer services
• Handling of large no of trucks on daily basis by ensuring 100 % safety
• Reverse Logistics plan for cost optimization
• Team Building to handle end to end logistics activities for the plant
• Evaluate budgets and expenditures
• Update and evaluate metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements
• Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements
• Managing multiple vendors during truck movements
• Resolve any Customer Complaints and issues related to Logistics operation
• Co-ordination with Other department inline to achieve company's Goal
• Liaison with external agencies i.e Port, Customs, Railways etc

Required Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor's degree with in hand experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or relevant field
• A minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role
• Should have experience at large industrial sites i.e. Mining Operation, Port Operation, Rail and Road Logistics etc.
• Should have handled a team of 15-20 members
• Should have very good experience in Import-Export Techno Commercial Terms
