Makeup Artist
Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and skilled Makeup Artist to enhance the beauty and visual appeal of our clients/talent through professional makeup techniques. The ideal candidate should be highly knowledgeable about cosmetic products and have experience applying makeup to a variety of skin tones and face shapes. You will work on various projects, including photoshoots, and other special occasions.
Responsibilities
- Apply makeup to clients/talent based on their requirements and the occasion, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and creativity.
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences, skin type, and desired look, recommending products and styles to suit them.
- Stay updated on trends in makeup and cosmetic techniques to bring a fresh, modern approach to each project.
- Collaborate with photographers, stylists, and other team members to achieve the desired aesthetic for each project.
- Maintain an inventory of makeup products, tools, and supplies, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are always met.
- Assist in sourcing and testing new products to keep the kit updated with current trends and client preferences.
- Provide guidance to clients on makeup techniques, skincare, and product recommendations for aftercare.
- Troubleshoot and make quick adjustments on set to adapt to lighting and environmental changes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a professional makeup artist, preferably in the [fashion/film/media] industry.
- In-depth knowledge of makeup techniques, skincare, and cosmetic products for a wide range of skin tones and types.
- Strong understanding of color theory, lighting, and face shapes.
- Certification in Makeup Artistry or Cosmetology is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.
