Maintenance Release Coordination Engineer

Job Description

Objective of the role

SUSE's Maintenance Coordination team provides premium service and fast software updates to keep our world-wide customers businesses safe and running. To support the Maintenance Coordination team we are looking for a Maintenance Release Coordination Engineer who will be responsible for delivering and coordinating software updates, as well as enabling the software delivery pipeline for new products.

What You'll Do

• Work together with engineers at SUSE to coordinate and release software updates to customers
• Technical evaluation of feature requests to ensure the stability of our products
• Engage in planning of new products and product changes
• Deliver maintenance for our products with a lifetime of 13+ years
  
  

Experience We Want To See

• Experience with a Linux operating system as an administrator or developer
• Experience with package management technologies (e.g. rpm, deb, etc.) is a requirement
• Experience with container technologies is a plus
• Experience with the Open Build Service is a plus
• Experience with programming and/or scripting languages is a plus
• Ability to work in a team that works from different time zones
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Excellent planning and decision making skills
• Knowledge about SUSE's product portfolio is a plus
