Role: Maintenance Manager
Location: Baddi
Business Unit: Mars Wrigley India
Job Purpose
This position is playing a key role in BAD strategy delivery and ensuring the leadership of the Supply technical team. The job purpose is to :
- Ensure the reliability of all assets and deliver TRS through compliance to MSE program.
- Ensure effective selection, purchase, installation, commissioning, maintenance & retirement of assets, optimize profit, FATR and ROTA through delivery of the Small & Minor budget for Baddi site.
- Drive continuous improvement of layout, assets & technical capabilities at site.
- Drive Site SIG Strategy in collaboration with Regional SIG, develop and deliver annual site goals/projects.
- Ensure monitoring, reporting and statutory compliance of Utilities.
- Engage associates and build capable team for now & future
Key Responsibilities
- Apply Engineering and People Management knowledge, skills and experience to manage the Site Reliability, SIG & Utilities teams. This includes staffing, training, developing, leading, directing, and problem solving as necessary.
- Holds overall accountability for small & minors projects along with Reliability & SIG.
- Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an asset maintenance plan that includes: - Value-added preventive maintenance, effective predictive methodologies to isolate inherent reliability problems.
- Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
- Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues.
- Engage all Maintenance associates into site Continuous Improvement delivery, build capability, embed Mindset and Behaviors and harmonize WOW through MSE FMOS deployment to ensure consistent site performance.
- Responsible for monitoring, reporting and statutory compliances of Utilities function inclusive of electricity, steam, water and air.
- Participate in site CAB definition/management and development in collaboration with IE and regional engineering team
- As a member of the Factory Management team, contribute to all activities that will drive the factory towards its future. Support & develop cross functional ways of working & line of one mindset & approach.
- Demonstrate exemplarity on Five Principles and cascade Mindset and Behaviors in the organization.
Job Specifications/Qualifications
- Food or Engineering Degree with 10 to 20 years of experience in maintenance and reliability, engineering or operations management experience in a large manufacturing environment. FMCG and food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and aptitude with required knowledge of energy & utilities, efficiency improvements & passion for sustainability initiatives
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Manufacturing excellence in preventive maintenance programs and advanced computer skills including the tools associated with failure detection as well as the software associated with them.
- Strong line management capability and experience
