Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mainframe zOS System Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing our mainframe systems to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and upgrading mainframe systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Developing and implementing new mainframe applications and features
  • Troubleshooting and resolving system issues
  • Performing regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures
  • Collaborating with other IT professionals to ensure system integration and compatibility
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in mainframe systems programming

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 4-10 years of experience in mainframe systems programming
  • Expertise in IBM zOS operating system and mainframe hardware
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as COBOL, Assembler, and PL/I
  • Experience with mainframe utilities and tools such as JCL, ISPF, TSO, and SDSF
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
