The Role
As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients which means some of the biggest in the world.
There's never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You'll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You'll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.
In your role, you will perform the following as part of Mainframe system measurements pool
System Monitoring: Regularly monitor mainframe system performance using standard measurement tools such as RMF, SMF, and other relevant utilities.
Performance Analysis: Analyze system performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and potential areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to enhance system efficiency.
Capacity Planning: Assist in the planning and forecasting of mainframe system capacity to ensure that resources meet current and future business demands.
Optimization: Recommend and implement tuning measures for mainframe operating systems, subsystems, and applications to optimize performance and resource utilization.

Required Technical and Professional Experience:
Minimum 6 years of experience in handling Mainframe system measurements, performance & Capacity management that includes SMF, DASD, Tape, and TADz
Experience in handling TWS Scheduler, Batch operations, Abend analysis.
Experience with IZPCA, including data loads, problem resolution, and reporting tools.
Working knowledge on JCL, TSO/SPF, REXX, DB2, QMF, ConnectDirect, mainframe utilities.
Knowledge in using of various SMF record types.
Knowledge in SAS programming.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
Experience working in a global organization with a diverse range of customers and partners
Able to co-ordinate with account DPE's/SDM's and with clients
Provide technical support for customer. Own and action requests for service, implementing changes and resolving assigned problems (may involve some after hours and weekend work).
Provide 24x7 after hours on-call support as required for products supported by the team.
Experience in support and deployment of z/OS Operating System, is desired.
