Experience Required : Minimum 6 years of Core Mainframe Development is must.
Experience Preferred : Experience in Automobile, Manufacturing Industry is preferred.
What you ll be able to do:
- As a Mainframe programmer, ensure quick turnaround in identifying application issues, Job Abends and provide timely solutions.
- Develop, code, document and execute Unit tests, System integration Testing , User acceptance tests (UAT) and deploy the code.
- Must be capable of developing new Mainframe solutions for various requirements, enhancements, features for existing and new applications.
- Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
- Transform business function requirements into technical program specifications to Code, Test and Debug programs.
- Knowledge of Perform performance tuning to improve the performance over multiple functions.
- Engage other technical team Anchors/members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
- Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability, and archiving) meet all SLAs.
- Resolve operational Incidents quickly, provide support to during change windows as well as on call support as required by the team.
- Must have an idea of conducting Disaster recovery (DR) test of Mainframe applications and other operational tasks.
Essential Skills/Requirement :
- Strong technical skills in Mainframe Technologies i,e COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS-DC, VSAM is must.
- Must have hands-on experience in Endeavor, SPUFI and File Manager.
- Resource should have hands-on Coding experience in mainframe technologies and should be able to provide quick break fix and provide solutions.
- Must have hands on knowledge on SQL Database .
- Good understanding about Solutions Architect Framework & Security and Controls.
- Good knowledge of Agile Central/Rally Backlog will be a plus.
- Must have good communication skills, A team player with can do attitude.
- Must be flexible with Shift timings (2pm-11pm).
- Work on weekends during Production deployment (if any) and to support Critical and High Priority Incident (S1/S2) - If any.
Desirable Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Teradata, GCP Big Query
- An exposure to Cloud migrations (PCF/GCP/AWS/Azure etc).
- Good to have knowledge on FOCUS DB & willing to learn new technologies.
