Position Overview:We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Grinding Machine Operator to operate and maintain grinding machines used in the production process. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating precision machinery and possess a strong understanding of grinding techniques. This role requires the ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
Set up and operate grinding machines to grind external or internal cylindrical or tapered surfaces of workpieces to specified dimensions and finish.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine grinding specifications.
Select and mount grinding wheels on machines according to specifications.- Adjust machine controls to regulate factors such as grinding speed, feed rates, and coolant flow.
Monitor machine operations to ensure workpieces meet quality standards and specifications.
- Inspect and measure finished workpieces to verify conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn or damaged parts.- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine operation, such as malfunctions or deviations from specifications.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize production processes and achieve production targets.
