We are looking for a highly experienced ML Engineer with 7 years of experience on a contract basis to develop AI/ML-driven solutions that automate commentary generation and improve the user experience for a sports-focused platform. The role involves working with large-scale datasets to deliver personalized content for users.

- 7 years of experience as an ML Engineer or similar role.
- Proven experience in deploying ML models into production, especially in high-traffic environments.
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong knowledge of NLP techniques for text generation in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries (scikit-learn, etc.).
- Experience working with large datasets (preferably in sports or related domains).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead ML initiatives.
- Strong communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
- ML Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy ML models for real-time commentary generation using existing sports data.
- Infrastructure & Pipeline Setup: Establish infrastructure and pipelines for data ingestion and model training. Optimize models for performance and scalability.
- Data Utilization: Work with large datasets (2-3TB) of sports-related statistics and commentary data to create clean, structured datasets for model development.
- Deployment & Maintenance: Manage end-to-end deployment of ML models from experimentation to production, ensuring scalability and real-time performance.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including content and engineering, to ensure model accuracy and performance.
- Future Planning: Contribute to long-term projects like personalizing user experiences and defining the roadmap for AI/ML initiatives within the platform.
- Contract Duration: 6 months remote contract, extendable to 12 months.
- Location: Remote.
- Screening: Initial HR screening to assess general fit and background.
- Technical Round 1: Focused on machine learning concepts, model development, and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical Round 2: Deep dive into NLP techniques, dataset handling, and deployment of ML models in production.
