Key Responsibilities
- Handle import documentation and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Liaise with vendors to establish and maintain strong relationships, leveraging negotiation skills to secure favourable terms and pricing.
- Take ownership of procurement responsibilities and demonstrate the ability to manage procurement independently.
- Utilize experience with chemicals to effectively procure necessary materials while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Leverage existing talent and vendor contacts from previous workplaces to enhance procurement operations.
- Drive value-addition initiatives within the company through strategic procurement practices.
- Demonstrate adaptability and a fast-learning mindset to effectively navigate dynamic logistical and procurement landscapes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and procurement roles, with a focus on import documentation and procedures.
- Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to liaise effectively with vendors.
- Proven track record of delivering results and creating value within previous roles.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
- Experience with chemicals procurement is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to changing environments and learn new processes.
