Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and monitor vehicle routes across India using logistics software to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
Track and manage Proof of Delivery (POD) for vehicles, providing necessary documentation and support to the Credit Controller.- Review and verify all transporter bills against market rates to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
Check depot bills to ensure alignment with allocated rates and resolve any discrepancies.
- Review non-conformity bills and provide clearance for data processing.
Manage barcode reversal clearance for depots and plants.- Address and resolve shipment cost issues promptly.
Create and manage transport vendor codes.
- Follow up on payment processes for vendors to ensure timely settlements.
Enter and clear all courier bills accurately.- Appoint or discontinue transporters based on freight rates and performance evaluations.
Address and manage both primary and secondary transportation issues efficiently.
- Handle insurance matters as required and arrange necessary documentation.
Coordinate vehicle arrangements for import consignments.- Continuously update and maintain the rate card to facilitate accurate bill clearance.
Prepare and analyze freight reports against dispatch metrics to ensure cost-efficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of managing complex logistics operations and large teams.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
