The Logistics Executive will manage and oversee the logistics and supply chain processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role involves coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and working with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
Logistics Management:
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics process including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers and internal departments.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely replenishment and accurate order fulfillment.
Supplier and Vendor Coordination:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
Negotiate rates and terms with suppliers and carriers to optimize logistics costs.Documentation and Compliance:
Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and delivery receipts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to logistics and transportation.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Track and report on logistics metrics such as delivery performance, shipping costs, and inventory turnover.
Utilize logistics software and tools to manage data and generate reports for analysis and decision-making.
Address and resolve any issues or delays related to shipping, inventory, or supplier performance.- Implement corrective actions to improve logistics processes and prevent recurring issues.
Process Improvement:- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics operations and support overall business objectives.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.- 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related role.
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, inventory management software).
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in logistics.
