Skills- Support Unix SQL Monitoring tool ( L2 support) Look for candidates in Linux support and who have experience with monitoring tools, please focus on 2.5 to 4 years as we will easily get profiles in budget.

Application Support

Must

Experience in support process of Linux/PL, SQL technologies by handling Tickets, Major issues, driving calls, Disaster Recovery, BCP Plans, Maintain SLAs, etc.,

Linux

Must

Hands on Linux Commands like - tar/gzip, grep, find, sed, awk, vim, sort, declare, export, sed, network commands, uptime, find large files, scp, sftp, top, chmod, sort

Database

Must

Hands on SQL queries like - able to Write all type of DML queries, Complex Select Queries, Update, Insert, Joins, aggregate functions, Having, between, etc.,

Log Analysis

Must

Hands on able to seamlessly navigate logs and identify root causefrom Linux, Autosys logs. Should be able to grep error, warning messages from logs and RCA.

Shell Scripting

Good to have

Working experience, should be able to troubleshoot/Analyze. Having writing Shell scripting skills are advantage.

Batch Job Monitoring

Must

Autosys or ControlM - Navigate, Start, Stop, Restart, Troubleshoot. Should know on hold and on ice and other status. Should know basic job attributes on Job.

Ticket Management

Must

Experience in Incident, Problem handling. Should be able to explain life cycle of Change management process like how to open, close, CAB calls, etc.,

Service / Queue monitoring

Good to have

Splunk/AppDynamics/Dynatrace/ITRS Geneos - Hands on able to seamlessly navigate logs and identify root cause. Should be able to explain what he monitors in the tools.
