We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Storage Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2-12 years of experience working in a similar role. As a Linux Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our storage infrastructure, ensuring that it meets the high-performance demands of our business.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement storage solutions based on business requirements
- Monitor and maintain storage infrastructure to ensure optimum performance and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage-related issues
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery tests
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of storage systems with other IT infrastructure
- Stay updated with the latest storage technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 2-12 years of experience in Linux storage administration
- Expertise in storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and DAS
- In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems and file systems
- Experience with storage management tools such as LVM and ZFS
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certifications in storage technologies such as EMC, NetApp, or IBM are a plus
