- Key Responsibilities:Server Management: Manage and maintain Linux servers, ensuring their security, availability, and performance
- System Administration: Perform system configuration, software installation, updates, and patch management on Linux servers
- Security: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and access controls, to protect server infrastructure
- Performance Optimization: Monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance server efficiency
- Backup and Recovery: Set up and manage server backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve server-related issues, working closely with cross-functional teams as needed
- User Management: Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls on Linux servers
- Compliance: Ensure that server configurations and practices adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of server configurations, procedures, and best practices
- Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline server administration tasks
- Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience as a Linux Server Administrator, with a strong track record in managing Linux-based server environments
- Proficiency in Linux server administration, including CentOS, Ubuntu, or Red Hat
- Strong understanding of server security best practices and experience with security tools and practices
