Job Purpose:
As a Development Officer (DO) in Canara HSBC Life Insurance, you will be the frontline sales representative responsible for driving insurance sales, generating leads, and acquiring new customers. Your primary focus will be on promoting life insurance products to individuals, families, and specific customer segments, such as defense personnel, government employees, and corporate clients. You will play a key role in expanding the company's customer base and achieving sales targets, ensuring the growth and profitability of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Sales and Business Development:
- Actively engage in field sales, meeting potential clients, and building relationships to sell life insurance products.
- Identify customer needs, explain policy features, and recommend suitable insurance plans.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by the company.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, and partnerships with local institutions, including defense organizations.
2. Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers by offering exceptional customer service.
- Provide ongoing policy servicing, such as claim assistance, policy renewals, and addressing customer queries.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction to retain customers and encourage repeat business.
3. Sales Planning and Strategy:
- Develop sales strategies and action plans to reach out to new clients and achieve sales goals.
- Conduct market research to identify target segments and gather competitive insights.
- Implement sales activities such as product demonstrations, seminars, and promotional events to raise awareness of Canara HSBC Life Insurance offerings.
4. Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and company guidelines while selling insurance products.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and policy applications.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to the branch manager for performance tracking.
5. Cross-Selling and Upselling:
- Promote additional products and services, such as health insurance, pension plans, and savings schemes, to existing clients.
- Upsell policies by demonstrating the added value of higher coverage or additional riders.
