Responsibilities:
- Structuring and negotiating debt finance transactions, including but not limited to secured and unsecured loans, project finance, and debt restructuring.
- Legal analysis and due diligence on financial transactions, identifying potential risks and providing strategic advice to the business.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents related to debt financing, such as loan agreements, debenture bonds, security documents etc
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the Business teams, understanding their business needs, and providing timely legal advice to support their objectives.
- Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations impacting debt finance transactions in India, ensuring compliance and advising business accordingly.
- Work closely with internal teams, including finance, risk management, and other legal professionals, to achieve seamless execution of transactions.
Requirements:
Education: LLB/LLM from a recognized law school in India.
Experience: 4-5 years of proven experience in debt finance law, with a focus on transactional work.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian financial regulations and legal frameworks related to debt finance.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Analytical Skills: Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
