Interface.ai provides an Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA) to FIs to automate calls and customer inquiries across multiple channels and engage their customers with financial insights and upsell/cross-sell. Our IVA is transforming financial institutions call centers from a cost to a revenue center.

Our core technology is built 100% in-house with several breakthroughs in Natural Language Understanding. Our parser is built based on zero-shot learning that helps us to launch industry-specific IVA that can achieve over 90% accuracy on Day-1. We are 150+ people strong with employees spread across India and US locations. Many of them come from ML teams at Apple, Microsoft and Salesforce in the US along with enterprise architects with over 20+ years of experience building large-scale systems. Our India team consists of people from ISB, IIMs and many who have been previous part of early-stage startups. We have grown 1800% in the last one year. Founders come from Banking and Enterprise Technology backgrounds with previous experience scaling companies from scratch to $50M+ in revenues. Do You Make the Cut

The Head of Legal will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters within the organization. This role requires extensive legal expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, mitigate legal risks, and support the achievement of business objectives. The Head of Legal collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and regulatory bodies to provide guidance and advice on legal issues affecting the organization.

Responsibilities:

Legal Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement the organization's legal strategy aligned with its overall goals and objectives.
  • Identify legal risks and opportunities and devise strategies to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities.
  • Provide legal guidance to senior management on key legal issues affecting the business.

Contract Management:

  • Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of contracts and agreements, ensuring they are legally sound and aligned with the organization's interests.
  • Establish standardized contract templates and processes to streamline contract management procedures.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards across all aspects of the organization's operations.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements and adapt policies and procedures accordingly.

Litigation Management:

  • Manage and oversee all litigation matters involving the organization, including disputes, claims, and lawsuits.
  • Collaborate with external counsel to develop litigation strategies and represent the organization's interests in legal proceedings.
  • Evaluate settlement options and make recommendations to senior management regarding litigation resolution.

Corporate Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and best practices.
  • Support the senior management in fulfilling their fiduciary duties and responsibilities.
  • Maintain corporate records and ensure compliance with corporate formalities.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Provide legal advice and support in crisis management situations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from a good law school.

Minimum of 14+ years of experience practicing law, with 4+ years in a Legal role with B2B SaaS organization

Proven track record of successfully managing legal matters and providing strategic legal advice in a corporate environment.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Should have startup experience

Should have worked in a US based organization

Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct

To Excel at leadership while also getting hands-on

The ability to handle significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times
