Purpose Of The Role
At SISA, we're looking for a competitive, hard-working, and goal-oriented Legal & Company Secretarial Consultant to become a part of Finance & Legal team based out in Bangalore-India.
As a consultant, you will be ensuring company compliance with legal obligations, managing, and storing the company's records, e.g. payroll, insurance, accounting, taxation, and acting as a liaison between the company and its stakeholders and shareholders.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across Multiple business Units of SISA.
- Maintain and update statutory registers, records, and filings as per the Companies Act or relevant regulations as per laws applicable as per geography in which SISA is operating.
- Assist in organizing and scheduling meetings and provide administrative support during the sessions.
- Draft and maintain accurate minutes of the meetings.
- Support in the implementation and maintenance of good corporate governance practices.
- Help in the preparation of governance reports and disclosures.
- Assist in ensuring the company's policies and procedures comply with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Serve as a point of contact between the company, regulatory authorities, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate communication between the multiple stakeholders and various teams within and outside the organization.
- Maintain and update important legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Ensure proper archiving and retrieval of documents, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3+ years Experience in Legal team for a robust organization which is operating in multiple geographies.
- Ability to understand business and then map it to legal requirements to defend business interests.
- Strong expertise in corporate governance, compliance, and legal procedures
- Intellectual Property Understanding (should have dealt with Patents, Trademarks)
- Experience in vetting contracts and other legal documents.
- Negotiation Skills (ability to get into calls with stakeholders and articulate to defend interests)
- Should be extremely organized with documentation.
- Certified Company secretary with legal graduation background.
Education Requirements
- Legal education background of LLB or similar
