Purpose of the role:
To review, vet, and draft agreements, conduct legal research, and manage the execution of contracts and documentation across various verticals and business divisions of The Manipal Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Review and Vetting:
- Conduct thorough reviews and vetting of agreements and tender documents across various verticals and business divisions within The Manipal Group.
- Negotiate with external and internal clients to finalise agreements.
Drafting:
- Draft agreements, notices, and letters as required.
Legal Research:
- Conduct legal research to support business requirements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Execution and Documentation:
- Facilitate the execution of agreements and maintain records of reviewed/executed agreements and tenders.
- Manage and update the legal database consistently.
Communication and Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure all legal documents are aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Skills Required
- Legal Expertise: Ability to independently review, vet, and draft agreements based on business requirements.
- Time Management: Adheres to schedules and manages multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Communication: Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal, essential for drafting and reviewing agreements.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and compliance in all contractual documents.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in law (LL. B).
Experience Level (If applicable)
- At least 3-4 years of relevant corporate legal experience.
