Job Description

  • As a Learning Technology Specialist, you'll be responsible for supporting the global sustainment and optimization strategy of our Baker Hughes Learning and Competency platform. The specialist will be part of the Global Digital HR Technology team and will report into Director Learning Technology & HR Systems.
  • The specialist will support multiple concurrent projects while providing oversight of support queues and closure of tickets for the Baker Hughes Support teams. The ideal candidate will have deep technical and functional experience with learning, competency systems and related processes within a global HR Technology system.
  • The Specialist will gather requirements, design and test solutions, and work with stakeholders to craft scalable, sustainable HR Technology solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience providing HR Technology operations support, training others in support matters, and in managing data related to tickets. The candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, global, multi-tenant environment. They will take initiative to drive performance improvement within the learning and competency ecosystem.
As a Learning Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing Learning Systems related configurations & Provide support on learning system projects from end-to-end including gathering requirements from stakeholders, designing, and configuring solutions, facilitating testing, and moving solutions to production.
  • Being the central point of support management for Baker Hughes Learning ecosystem.
  • Solving routine learner problems as we'll as identify, escalate, and help determine root cause solutions for recurrent or systemic issues.
  • Interfacing with internal team members and our stakeholders to adopt system enhancements that drive a positive learner experience.
  • Contributing to overall business process improvements and be a catalyst for building streamlined and effective processes across the global Learning organization.
  • Responding to and resolving support tickets regarding configuration System changes in a timely and accurate manner
  • Executing product technology and functional capability roadmaps, including migration of training content and history
  • Working with relevant stakeholders to redesign business processes, and improve the Learning & Competency Management experience for employees globally
  • Participating in prioritization discussions for business requirements, approving future state design/configurations and ensuring successful implementation
  • Working to improve incident reduction, simplification, process excellence, security, and compliance
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have a bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience in Learning Management and HR Systems.
  • Have at least 7-10 years of IT or relevant professional experience
  • Have Extensive experience in global learning operations or LMS implementation (SumTotal/Cornerstone On-Demand/Workday).
  • Have deep experience with migration process and related utilities.
  • Have Advanced system configuration knowledge.
  • Have Capability to develop and troubleshoot complex downstream integrations.
  • Have Experience integrating and maintaining third party libraries ensuring end-user Catalog is in-sync with vendor-provided specifications.
  • Be Advanced in troubleshooting of complex learning structures.
  • Be able to work flexible hours with Management to support the relevant countries (UK Shift Preferred)
  • Have leadership and influencing skills and be a Self-starter able to give guidance and take counsel
  • Have great organizational skills and the ability to accomplish assigned goals and work we'll with global team
