The User Experience Researcher is responsible for performing Quantitative UX Research that facilitates superior user experience and user-centered strategy
They ensure that experiences meet user needs in an engaging way through discovery and validation research via a variety of methodologies
The Researcher will be responsible for partnering with designers, product owners, content and UX strategists to balance user, stakeholder, business and technology needs and transform UI designs into highly effective and usable solutions
Responsibilities
Contribute in Design Projects by collaborating with UX Researchers, Designers, Business Architects, Data Analytics Teams, Product Stakeholders Managers, Developers and more importantly Leaders to identify opportunities that will benefit from your research offerings.
Communicate and demonstrate the value of Quantitative Research to stakeholders, recommending methodologies best suited to answer stakeholder questions.
Help identify and define Quantitative research protocols for product(s)
Contribute to designs initiatives by independently conducting Quantitative UX Research, converting research findings into Design and Information Architecture recommendations.
Study raw research data/insights/raw findings, reporting findings through written reports and presentations to help draw conclusions to drive informed decision making, and track the impacts it has on our products in a continued manner/ongoing basis.
Visualize and present data findings in presentations and commonly used visualization platforms for leadership.
Work with UX designers, engineering teams, and product managers to ensure research findings are fully leveraged in the product design and development life cycle.
Identify pages/moments/areas that require analytics to be embedded onto them and tracked by analytic tools
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis best practices, using innovative ideas to increase effectiveness of the overall analyst organization.
Provide subject matter expertise in areas including strategy/approach, domain/data knowledge, use cases and other areas of expertise based on established data analysis tools and techniques.
Partner with data governance and analytical domain owners, ensuring attribute logic/design is appropriately logged and reviewed as required. Document metadata, including business and technical details, for each attribute being created or updated.
List, Compare, Evaluate best techniques/methods to solve a problem - define pros and cons to help take decisions.
Define, Plan, and execute a wide range of both qualitative and quantitative research methods to provide the best fit for a variety of project types and phases.
Practices
Manage all steps of research studies, interviews and online research such as Usability studies, Surveys, Click tests, tree tests, card sorts, A/B Tests, Moderated/Unmoderated Usability Testing etc
Intake the needs of stakeholders and formulate research plans that will answer the questions needing to be answered, including determining research methods, measuring, and defining (behavioral and attitudinal) KPIs.
Plan, project manage (timeline, estimates), facilitate, run, report and communicate research results to audiences at various levels within the organization
Familiarity with conducting research early in the process and collaborate to define solutions that help users effectively complete their tasks on various digital solutions on desktop and mobile devices
Required Qualifications
8-10 years of Experience working in a UX/Design organisation with focus on Quantitative Research Data Analytics for web, mobile and/or financial products.
Bachelors degree in design, HCI, applicable behavioural science, or related field.
A solid track record of conducting quantitative research, studying complex data,
Experience working with tools such as Google Analytics, Glassbox, Adobe Analytics
Able to explain the rationale behind analysis methods/technique employed to help arrive at decisions within a larger context.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Understand the mission and goals of design and research, and is able to communicate this to product teams.
Proficient in a variety of user research techniques and reports.
Able to work effectively in a fast-moving environment, juggle multiple projects, and prioritize work.
Stay current on research trends and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with survey and user research tools such as UserZoom, Adobe Analytics, Glassbox, Qualtrics and Optimal Workshop
Working knowledge of design and user experience fundamentals such as visual design, accessibility and design systems.
Ability to interpret feature-centered business goals to a user-centered design approach
Fundamental understanding of agile methodology
Understanding of finance or experience working in financial services
