Lead Tyre design & Mould engineer- PCR

Purpose of the job-

Lead the PV design team in Design and Mould Engineering function for the timely creation of passenger car tyre design for APMEA market. Innovative design solution to meet the product requirement

Major responsibilities-

Guiding the product design team for creating cavity, tread pattern & and validation through Simulation group.

Coordinate with cross functional team (product development, Pre-development and simulation) for design reviews and fine tuning.

Design FMEA & Preparation of input for Mould design.

Design document control and timely upgradation based on lessons learned.

Interpretation of Noise analysis and test reports for design fine tuning.

Benchmark product study & analysis.

Creation of innovative design solution to meet specific product requirement.

Design automation and design efficiency building

Team development and skill enhancement.

Knowledge required-

1.Tyre design knowledge in HP/ UHP/ SUV category

2.Design standards and regulations

3.Tyre Engineering and tyre testing

4.NVH and vehicle dynamics

5.Tyre mould design

6.Tyre simulation (basic level)

Desirable skills-

a)2D and 3D modeling.

b)Problem solving sklills

c)Statistical analysis and quality management

d)Cross functional management

e)Communication and presentation

Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Polymer technology / Mechanical/ Chemical / Automobile engineering.

Experience: Minimum 10- 15 years exposure in tyre design, tyre technology, mould design.
