We are seeking a skilled and proactive
Test Lead with a strong background in Oracle Applications and software test automation. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of Oracle's ecosystem (particularly modules such as Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP, or HCM) and expertise in implementing automated testing strategies. The Test Lead will manage end-to-end testing cycles, ensure the quality and performance of applications, and drive improvements in testing practices. This is a strategic role that combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, aimed at maintaining robust quality standards in a dynamic, growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead a team of testers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
- Coordinate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to align testing activities with project milestones and deliverables.
- Test Execution and Reporting:
- Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Monitor and report on testing progress, quality metrics, and defect status to stakeholders, providing recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Automation Development and Optimization:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Oracle Test Automation Suite, or other relevant tools.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks and scripts to handle changes in Oracle Applications UIs and workflows.
- Oracle Application Expertise:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of Oracle modules (such as ERP, HCM, Financials) to understand testing requirements and complexities.
- Ensure testing solutions are compatible with Oracle's quarterly patch updates and other release cycles, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Defect Management:
- Track and prioritize defects, coordinate with development teams for resolutions, and ensure comprehensive retesting.
- Create detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and testing steps for future reference.
Required Skills And Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in Oracle Apps testing.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Oracle Applications (Oracle EBS, Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle HCM, etc.).
- Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., Opkey, Selenium, Oracle Application Testing Suite, UFT, or similar).
- Experience with API testing, integration testing, and database validation.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
- Certifications in Oracle, ISTQB, or test automation tools are a plus.
