Lead - Tableau Developer
Key Responsibilities
Lead the designing/re-designing and development of Tableau dashboards and
workbooks with highly effective and interactive visualization.
Utilize data modelling techniques to ensure accurate, efficient, and compelling data
visualizations.
Troubleshooting any data or performance issues with workbooks and data sources.
Optimize Tableau performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing
performance-tuning techniques
Conduct data analysis to identify data trends, patterns, and insights and present
findings to stakeholders
Support and redesign the existing dashboard, taking regular feedback from its
business users.
Create technical designs, test cases, and user guides.
Create test cases and run unit tests on QA and development sites.
Conduct quality assurance and testing of Tableau reports to ensure accuracy and
reliability.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features and functionalities and evaluate
their potential use within the organization
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Tableau developers.
Collaborate with various teams to understand business requirements and translate
them into reporting solutions.
Oversee Tableau-powered installations, architecture, and management.
Conduct Tableau training sessions for end-users to promote self-service analytics
capabilities
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data
Science, Information Systems)
At least 6- 8 years of proven experience as a Tableau Lead Designer or similar role.
A firm grasp of SQL, relational database management systems, data modelling, and
standardization.
Experience in dashboard design and user experience (UX) principles. Designing
wireframes and beta dashboards emphasizing user experience, consistency, and
visibility.
Excellent knowledge of implementing workbooks, filters, and dashboards with
documentation.
Excellent knowledge of all the necessary graphs used in industry and their
implementation in Tableau.
Proficiency in writing complex formulas, calculated fields, and functions in Tableau
to meet business needs.
Must have knowledge and experience to write technical design documents, test
cases, and user guides.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong collaboration and communication abilities
