This position will be responsible for improving and supporting Configuration Management across multiple data centers and the cloud. You'll work closely with talented Linux, Windows, Network, and Cybersecurity engineers to ensure the availability of our enterprise applications.
Our engineers find the right balance between FactSet's flexible environment where everyone can contribute individually, yet at the same time cultivate a community where they can depend on each other for help, learning, and development.
Responsibilities:
Gather requirements and implement standards for Configuration Management
Maintaining Configuration Management infrastructure
Help stakeholders within FactSet to implement Configuration Management
Tools development supporting automation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, foreign equivalent or equivalent work apprenticeship required
Deep understanding of Configuration Management languages (Puppet, cfengine, ansible, )
Understanding of change management measures
Good communication skills in English (oral and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation frameworks like GitHub Actions
- Experience with Python
- Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
- Technical understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure
- Troubleshooting skills
