Lead Sourcing (Menswear India)- Job Description

Job Title: Lead- Sourcing (Menswear)

Reporting: Head Sourcing, India

Location: Bangalore

Function: Sourcing

Job Overview:

As the Menswear Sourcing Lead you will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and managing relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to bring new products to our e-commerce platform. This is a strategic and hands-on role where you will work closely with the product development, merchandising, and marketing teams to ensure we are always stocked with high-demand, high-quality products that align with our brand's vision and customer expectations. You will play a key role in managing the product lifecycle, optimizing sourcing processes, and ensuring our supply chain operates smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Sourcing & Supplier Management:
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and manufacturers, both domestically and internationally, to source products that align with the brand's aesthetic, quality standards, and customer preferences.
• Negotiate terms and agreements with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality control, and timely delivery.
• Manage ongoing supplier relationships to ensure consistency in product quality, lead times, and availability.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
• Collaborate with the operations and logistics teams to ensure that products are delivered on time and meet inventory needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to delays, quality concerns, or logistical challenges.
• Cost Management & Budgeting:
• Develop and manage budgets for product sourcing, negotiating the best terms and pricing to optimize costs while maintaining product quality.
• Monitor and report on the financial performance of sourced products, identifying areas for cost reduction or margin improvement.
• Quality Control & Compliance:
• Ensure that all sourced products meet internal quality standards as well as any relevant industry regulations (e.g., sustainability certifications, safety standards).
• Work with suppliers to perform product audits and inspections to verify quality before shipment.
• Trend Analysis & Product Strategy:
• Monitor global fashion trends, consumer behavior, and competitor offerings to identify new sourcing opportunities and product categories.
• Work with the product development and design teams to align sourcing strategies with emerging trends and customer demand.
• Develop and maintain a product roadmap to meet seasonality, market demands, and sales goals.

Key Skills & Qualifications: 12-15 years with premier online or corporate retail in sourcing function specializing in women's wear knits & denim

Graduate from NIFT / B.Tech Textile Engg.
