Digital Products and Services at PepsiCo

The Digital Products & Services team designs, builds, and stands up digital solutions across the value chain, that are embedded into business processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high ROI. Responsibilities

Lead Software Engineer

The Lead Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in software development activities and long-term initiative planning and collaboration across the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization. Software Engineering is the cornerstone of scalable digital transformation across PepsiCo's value chain. This candidate will support the end-to-end software development experience and deliver high quality software as part of the DevOps process.

The candidate will be part of our software development team to ensure we deliver the best possible software solutions and ensure they are generating value through cost savings or incremental value. This candidate will work closely with the user experience, product, IT, and process engineering teams to develop new products and prioritize deliver solutions across S&T core priorities.

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  2. Collaborate with product managers, architects, and business teams to translate high-level strategies into executable development plans.
  3. Develop and maintain a technical roadmap that supports business objectives, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  4. Foster the growth of a scalable and resilient technology platform, leveraging cloud, AI, and data analytics to enhance user experiences.
  5. Identify and resolve roadblocks that hinder project delivery, ensuring consistent progress and stakeholder satisfaction.
  6. Partner with key business stakeholders to recommend and implement solutions that drive operational efficiency and innovation.Support the vision and guide a team of engineers to build and support digital products and services (DPS) across S&T core priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on full-stack development.
  • Proficiency in modern development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, with 2+ years of experience in mobile app development (iOS/Android).
  • 2+ yrs of experience in React Native framework for mobile.
  • Expertise in both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Couchbase) databases.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience managing mission-critical systems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
