Get To Know The Team
We are the payment infrastructure team of GrabFin, responsible for providing fundamental financial technological capabilities for payment and financial products.
Get To Know The Role
We are seeking passionate developers with the required skillsets and then some, to join our team. In this role, you will have opportunities to design, develop, and maintain backend financial components and services. Not only will you get to collaborate with the product, business, and program management teams to be on top of your deliverables. You will also pick up the software engineering practices for larger teams: code reviews, ample use of static analysis, prolific feature-flagging, semantic versioning of internal APIs, and more. You will also be heavily involved in design and architecting backend systems. If you are willing to go the extra mile to identify and fix our users paint points, apply with us today.
You will be reporting to Head Of Engineering. This is an Onsite role.
Qualifications
The Critical task you will perform
- Participate in technical and product review meetings to ensure project alignment.
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable code that meets operational excellence standards and deadlines.
- Take ownership of code and design reviews, ensuring timely and thorough completion.
- Collaborate with SRE and DevOps teams to set up hardware and microservices infrastructure.
- Lead projects and coordinate with various stakeholders, while participating in the team's on-call rotation to maintain operational excellence.
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- A Bachelors in Technology degree with Major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology.
- Strong foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems, and Networking.
- At least 8 years of experience, including 5+ years focused on building scalable systems.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Golang, and experience with backend systems involving DBMS, Caches, NoSQL, and App servers.
- Experience with cloud services, OLTP systems, and consumer-facing products is advantageous.
