Lead Service Reliability Engineer

The Devops team is looking for a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for dsupporting our cloud infrastructure services in AWS. The successful candidate should have experience working on cloud technologies like AWS and strong knowledge of Linux systems. nYou are a fit for this position if your background includes:n

• Monitor various application/systems level alert from different tools and take appropriate actions.
• nTriage with L1/L2 team for issue resolution
• nAnalyzes customer problems of high complexity, assesses scope of impact, identifies options for problem resolution and takes action to resolve issues according to defined service levels.
• nProvides a high level of technical and subject matter expertise in one or more technologies and serves as a point of escalation for technical issues related to specialty.
• nInnovates by suggesting technology and/or process improvements to reduce the volume of incidents and mean time to recover.
• nCollaborates with business, third party vendors, developers, production support, and technical operations groups to determine appropriate software/hardware needed and to resolve any issues impacting the application processes.
• nMitigates customer impact of issues and defines, reviews, and executes workarounds.
• nConducts root cause analysis and correlation of other system and/or application problems of high complexity.
• nCommunicates status of outstanding issues to customers and ensures ticketing system is always up-to-date with the most recent actions and status.
• nProactively monitors production environments and/or applications and conducts health assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• nDevelops, configures, or supports tools for system monitoring and/or troubleshooting.
• nProvides input for technical plans and solutions.
• nProvides advice or training to users about application functionality.
• nProvides technical guidance to less experienced team members.
• nManages multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
• nPerforms actions aligned with defined standards and best practices.
• nPerforms occasional work outside standard business hours as part of an on-call rotation.

nAbout you:

nYou are a fit for this position if your background includes:n

• Experience on Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML required.
• nProven experience with Linux or UNIX operating systems.
• nWell versed in writing shell scripts to accomplish various tasks such as extracting data or creating structured reports from server log files.
• nWindows Server 2016, Powershell. DNS.
• nApache HTTP Web Server; installation, configuration, troubleshooting. SSL Certificates.
• nApache Tomcat; configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning,
• nMS SQL Server 2016; understanding of SQL queries, maintenance plans, alerting
• nExposure and working knowledge of networking concepts
• nAbility to analyse application and server logs, error interpretation
• nExperience with Apache web server and other open source software preferred.
• nHas experience in server performance monitoring and server configuration tweaking using tools
• nExperience in performance monitoring tools such as Splunk and monitoring tools like SiteScope, Datadog etc.
