Lead QA Engineer

About the Role

o Spearhead the entire quality assurance delivery within the scrum team(s) and also work as a hands on QA engineer
o Collaborate with the business analysts, product owners and developers to design test suites aimed at providing optimum coverage
o Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies to provide estimates on QA effort and highlight risks as applicable
o Present and communicate ideas related to improvement of QA practices as per industry standards
o Guide QA team members on a day to day basis in regards to testing and navigating roadblocks
o Assist in replication of production issues and effectively prioritizing and triaging the same towards resolution & retesting
o Track quality metrics such as defect trends, automation coverage over time
o Work closely with the QA chapter at the business unit level to incorporate new processes, standards in the squad

This position is responsible for evaluating, designing and delivering solutions within the CorSo technology landscape and project portfolio. In this position, the person is responsible for applying the latest technologies to design real world systems involving processing of large amounts of data and documents, business transactions, and user interactions on various platforms. The person should have strong skills in technical architecture planning, design, and support.
The person will lead a small team of QA engineers and work also as a hands on contributor. The person will collaborate with a local & global team of QAs, developers, business analysts, and production support personnel.

About you

o Bachelor's degree level or equivalent in computer science or related field
o Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Software QA and understanding of different testing types and levels (Per ISTQB specifications)
o 2 years of experience in functioning as a lead - mentoring and coaching junior QA team members
o Should have worked on the testing of applications both at the UI and API layer
o Hands on experience with Functional Test Automation tools such as Selenium, REST Assured and POSTMAN
o Good programming skills in at least one of Java or Java Script language and understanding of OOPS
o Should have worked on automation frameworks such as BDD Cucumber and TestNg
o Well-experienced in Agile SCRUM methodologies
o Knowledge on Performance testing and related concepts with an experience in LoadRunner or Jmeter is desirable
o Exposure to DEVOPS, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure pipelines is a plus
o Ability to develop automation frameworks from scratch or fine tune the existing framework
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o Good interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a clear and articulate standard of written and verbal communication
o Ability to manage own workload and self motivated
o Experienced in working with a diverse multi-location team of internal and external professionals
