Lead- Product Designer

Job Description:

As the New Product Development & Design Lead at FNP, you will be responsible for leading the creation and innovation of products across multiple categories, ensuring they cater to all occasions and demographics. This role requires a keen understanding of market trends, consumer preferences, and the ability to enhance the overall gifting experience, including the unboxing journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• New Product Creation:
• Lead the development of new products across all categories (flowers, plants, hampers, cakes, etc.), tailored to various occasions and customer segments.
• Occasion-Specific Offerings:
• Conceptualize and deliver products for a wide range of occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, festivals, and corporate gifting, ensuring product diversity for different demographics.
• Innovation & Market Trends:
• Stay ahead of market trends and consumer behaviour to introduce innovative product lines that align with FNP's vision and customer expectations.
• Cross-Category Strategy:
• Collaborate with category managers to develop cohesive product strategies across categories, ensuring a unified and impactful product range.
• Prototyping, Testing & Quality:
• Oversee the design, prototyping, testing, and final quality assurance of products, ensuring they meet FNP's standards of excellence.
• Product Launches:
• Lead the strategy and execution of product launches, working closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth introductions into the market.
• Unboxing Experience:
• Design and enhance the unboxing experience to ensure a memorable and delightful moment for customers, with attention to packaging, presentation, and overall aesthetic appeal.
• Vendor & Supplier Management:
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source high-quality materials and manage relationships with suppliers for effective product development.

Required Skill:

• Proven experience in new product development within D2C retail or e-commerce sectors will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of consumer needs for various occasions and demographics.
• Ability to leverage market insights to create innovative and successful products.
• Expertise in enhancing the customer experience through packaging and unboxing.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional team leadership skills.
• Strong communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders.
