Job Description

Overview

The Lead Operations role is pivotal in overseeing and optimizing business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability. This position plays a critical role in driving operational strategy, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring seamless execution of projects to meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies and initiatives to enhance business performance
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of operations professionals to ensure seamless execution of daily activities
  • Oversee resource allocation and utilization to optimize productivity and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve operational workflows
  • Identify and analyze operational challenges and develop solutions to mitigate risks and enhance performance
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive improvements
  • Manage and optimize supply chain activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products
  • Conduct regular assessments of operational processes and implement enhancements to drive continuous improvement
  • Oversee compliance with industry regulations and internal policies to ensure operational adherence
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior management on operational decisions and initiatives
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of operational budgets and forecasts
  • Lead the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency
  • Resolve escalated operational issues and address customer/client concerns in a timely and effective manner
  • Drive a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence within the operations team
  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance and achievements to senior leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
  • Proven experience in a senior operations management role
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and managing operations teams
  • In-depth knowledge of operational best practices and industry standards
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and decision-making based on key operational metrics
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into actionable operational plans
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize operational workflows
  • Proficiency in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and other relevant operational software
  • Experience in supply chain management, logistics, and inventory control
  • Sound understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management principles
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead change effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound operational decisions
  • Certification in operations management or related field (e.g., Six Sigma) is a plus
  • Ability to travel as required to oversee operational activities across different locations
