Network Security Profile
. 9 to 12 years of experience in a technical support role in a Proxy Firewall/Firewall/Routing/Switching/wireless networking equivalent education.
. Working in shifts with 24/7 support is mandatory.
. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in FortiGate.
. Robust knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, L2/L3 switches, subnetting, access control lists, firewalls, VPNs, NAT, and network traffic analysis.
. Experience with firewalls, IPsec, IDS/IPS, and WIDS security products.
. Extensive working knowledge of Windows, macOS, UNIX or Linux
. Understating knowledge on Wi-Fi 802.11 networks.
. Having a good understanding of proxy solutions like Zscaler, Netskope, Windows Defender etc.,
. Knowledge of security network devices (firewalls, switches, SIEM, Antivirus, cryptography, etc.) and other security networking hardware/software tools.
. Experience in Vulnerability Management (Tenable)/Nessus or any tool.
. Experience in Log Analysis (FotiSIEM/SPLUNK/Qradar/Sentinal etc.). Any SIEM tool experience is Mandatory.
. Demonstrated understanding of information security concepts, standards, and practices, including but not limited to firewalls, intrusion prevention and detection, TCP/IP and related protocols, device monitoring and log management, and event monitoring/reporting.
. Demonstrable analytical and technical aptitude with a focus on identifying the root cause of the issue.
. Knowledge of Networking: OSI Layer 2 (Spanning tree, vPC, Ether Channel, VLAN, etc.), Layer 3 switching /routing (OSPF, BGP, IPv4/6), DNS/DHCP, network virtualization (VRF), basics of higher layer protocols: SSL/TLS, HTTP.
. Experience in managing DLP, URL filtering, content filtering, IPS, IDS, AV, etc. is preferred.
. Previous experience, particularly in supporting data networking products and/or security products, is preferable.
. End Point Protection (XDR/Zscaler/Defender) Desirable but not mandatory
. Coordination with the operations team & senior team members if case of critical incidents and major network outages.
. Strong English skills both written and verbal.
. Positive, communicative, and customer-oriented attitude.
Job Responsibilities:
Running real-time phone or remote access sessions with customers/Internal IT/BU etc.,
Working on tickets based on Priority and Impact.
Engaging in projects focused on automation for the benefit of the organization.
Validating reports on Bandwidth, Alerts, Vulnerabilities, Pen testing, etc.
Perform provisioning (IP assignment, configuration, DNS setup, monitoring)
Monitoring server build and installs, server OS patching, and network firmware upgrades.
Primary responsibility will be to work on resolving Zscaler issues, and proactively monitor and maintain the network, servers, computers, and other IP-based equipment in the company's non-hosted services client population.
Coordination with the operations team & senior team members in case of critical incidents and major network outages.
Support and troubleshooting on the Firewall, Routing, Switching, and wireless range of Fortinet products like FortiGate, Cisco, Aruba, HPE, Zscaler, Forti-SIEM.
Analysing, troubleshooting, and correcting network & Security incidents, and problems.
Collection, analysis, and change recommendations of configuration information
On-demand, collection, and analysis of customer network information.
Collection and initial analysis of packet trace information.
Recommend corrective actions based on analysis on Firewall, Routing, Switching, Zscaler, FotiSIEM.
Consultation of technical documentation, bulletins, and release notes for known problems.
Follow up on technical cases including proper escalation and management of the case until case closure.
Creating both high-level and low-level network diagrams.
Manage customer communications and expectations until the closure of each case.
Work closely with all Global SOC team members, Information Technology, business units, and management
