Develop and maintain Design Change Instructions (DCI) for assigned projects to track and manage design modifications effectively.
Prepare enquiry specifications, data sheets, Technical Queries (TQ), Technical Bid Analysis (TBA), Technical Reports (TR), and review vendor drawings for utility equipment, warehousing equipment, material handling equipment, and process equipment.
Project Coordination:
Attend internal and external meetings with clients and vendors, ensuring clear communication and documentation of Minutes of Meetings (MOM).
Follow up with vendors to obtain offers and review vendor drawings, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Quality Assurance and Inspections:
Perform stage inspections and participate in the Final Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) to verify equipment functionality and compliance with specifications.
Maintain documentation for quality procedures, including checklists, squad checks, comment trend logs, and other quality assurance documents as required.
Commissioning and Coordination:
Coordinate with the site team to facilitate smooth commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment, resolving any technical issues that may arise during installation and startup phases.
Project Management:
Adhere to scheduled dates for various project deliverables and tasks, ensuring milestones are met within allocated timelines and budgets.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
15-20 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and project management, preferably in an engineering consultancy environment.
Proficiency in preparing technical specifications, data sheets, and conducting vendor document reviews.
Strong understanding of quality procedures and documentation management.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Experience in commissioning and conducting inspections for mechanical systems is desirable.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to industrial projects.
