Job Description
Handles the inbound and outbound freight needs for local and international distribution centers, warehouses, customers and other stakeholders. Strives to minimize overall supply chain costs without compromising quality or reliability of supply. Provides assistance and support for inventory management and performance improvement projects. Serves as liaison between central and regional teams, coordinates demand signals and availability among distribution network tiers, including vendors, consolidation warehouses and distribution centers.
Responsibilities
- Supports and / or leads Logistics-related special projects, item launch activities, and ongoing operations.
- Maintains various reporting requirements.
- Solves complex and ambiguous Logistics-related analytical projects company-wide.
- Thinks long-term about what would be beneficial for the department and the company.
- Engages with leadership to define Logistics strategies; develop project plans, priorities, and deadlines; and, establish expectations and milestones.
- Develops project plans, structures, and schedules, including task assignments, resources, milestones, review points, and reporting requirements.
- Provides guidance, instruction, mentorship, and planning for other members of the team.
- Ensures projects are completed on time and on budget.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Education or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Logistics.
- Good business English skills (Written and spoken).
