Position Summary:
The Learning and Development Specialist will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees. This position is responsible for fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development, ensuring that our workforce remains competitive and well-prepared to meet the demands of the rapidly evolving solar industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Program Development: Design and develop comprehensive training programs that address the specific needs of various departments within the company, with a particular focus on technical skills, safety, and industry regulations.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct regular training needs assessments through surveys, interviews, and consultations with managers to identify skill gaps and areas for improvement.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, and hands-on training sessions.
- Training Delivery: Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees at all levels of the organization.
- Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive the necessary training and support to become productive members of the team.
- Evaluation and Feedback: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Compliance: Ensure all training programs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department heads, subject matter experts, and external vendors to deliver high-quality training solutions.
- Career Development: Assist employees in identifying career development opportunities and create individualized development plans.
- Budget Management: Manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of training programs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in learning and development, preferably within the renewable energy or technology sectors.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Proficiency in e-learning platforms and virtual training tools.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and ROI.
- Knowledge of the solar energy industry and related technologies is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, CPTD) are a plus.
