Job Description & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Lead Infrastructure Engineer specializing in SQL Server Administration for our MNC client based in Hi-Tech City, Hyderabad. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-class SQL Server Database Infrastructure. Your duties will include analyzing, planning, building, upgrading, and supporting both existing SQL Server platforms and those anticipated for future use.

Competencies-Skills (Required):

Expertise in MS SQL Server Administration: Proficiency in managing, maintaining, and

troubleshooting SQL Server and Azure SQL databases.

Database Design: Understanding of database design principles and normalization.

T-SQL: Proficiency in Transact-SQL (T-SQL).

Performance Tuning: Ability to optimize database performance through indexing, query

optimization, and configuration settings.

Database Security: Knowledge of principles and best practices for securing databases.

High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Experience with strategies and technologies for

ensuring database availability and data recovery.

Proven record collaborating across teams.

Demonstrated ability communicating to large groups in a professional environment.

Easily adapt to changes in work priorities, incident response, and technology advancements

as they pertain to day-to-day demand.

Able to assess, analyze, and plan deployments and database upgrades.

Provide responsive, concise input, and remain actively involved in troubleshooting through

point of resolution.

Provide data for capacity planning and performance metrics.

Must be able to produce process documentation, technical diagrams, and related

documentation.

Primary Skills and Experience:

• Experience: 5-12 years of overall experience in IT infrastructure.
• SQL Server Admin: Minimum of 5 years of strong hands-on experience in SQL Server Administration.
• Windows OS: At least 3 years of experience with Windows Operating Systems.
• Public Cloud: 2+ years of experience with any public cloud (Azure preferred).
• Team Management: At least 2 years of team management experience.
• Role Level: We are specifically looking for an L3 engineer; L1/L2 support profiles will not be considered.
• Project Experience: Must have experience in implementation, installation, deployment, building, and designing within current projects.
• Escalations & IC Role: Proven ability to handle escalations and willingness to work as an individual contributor.
