MeitY Nasscom CoE (Centre of Excellence), has been established with the support from Ministry of IT and Electronics (MeitY), Govt. of India and the State Governments. It has built a robust innovation ecosystem in India to solve industry challenges by collaborating with enterprises, government departments, premier institutes, and start-ups.
Position Summary:
The Government Engagement and Strategy Lead will manage high-level engagements with government bodies, industry leaders, and key stakeholders, ensuring impactful delivery on CoE's initiatives that meet stakeholder expectations. This role will also involve developing strategies to drive digital adoption and maximize AI and advanced technology's impact across government and industry sectors, aligning with the CoE's mission to foster widespread adoption in both public services and private industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong, effective engagement with government departments, ministries, and public sector organizations to promote adoption of smart solutions (AI and Advanced Tech) in public services.
- Serve as the key contact for government-related initiatives, driving approval processes for funding, compliance, and project proposals.
- Ensure alignment of AI-driven initiatives with the priorities of government bodies, particularly in public service areas such as healthcare, social justice, education etc.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Provide strategic guidance to the team to support the development and execution of activities related to CoE.
- Collaborate with team to design and implement AI use cases across government and industry.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities to enhance the CoE's strategic direction.
Stakeholder Engagement & Industry Engagement:
- Cultivate engagement with senior industry leaders to facilitate collaboration and align industry needs with CoE initiatives.
- Lead and manage high-level meetings with government representatives, industry executives, and funding agencies to drive AI projects.
- Actively represent the CoE at forums, events, and meetings, promoting AI solutions in public services and enterprises.
AI Literacy & Training Initiatives:
- Work closely with the training teams to develop AI literacy programs tailored for government officials and SMEs, ensuring alignment with national priorities.
- Provide strategic input on the execution of workshops and training initiatives on AI.
Funding & Grant Management:
- Regular updates and briefing to the stakeholders in Government and guiding the proper management of the grant, that includes effective utilization and release of the funds.
- As a part of leading the strategy, suggest for additional revenue generation and self-sustenance of the center as a part of the strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- 10-15+ years of experience in Government engagement, strategy, or a related field, preferably in technology, AI, or innovation.
- Extensive experience working with government stakeholders and securing approval large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of AI and Advanced technologies and their applications in public services and industries.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain engagement with senior government and industry leaders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven track record in providing strategic insights and facilitating cross-functional teams.
