Job Description
As a Lead Backend Engineer at Richpanel, you will drive the performance and scalability of our backend systems, ensuring low latency and high throughput. You'll identify and refactor inefficient code, optimize database performance, and establish a robust observability stack.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize code for performance and readability
- Maintain memory usage under 200MB with zero memory leaks
- Upgrade the frontend framework from VueJS to Vue 3
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive observability stack
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Design scalable frontend systems to handle high traffic and complex UI interactions
- Mentor and guide frontend developers, fostering a culture of high performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features
Typical Week as a Lead Frontend Engineer @ Richpanel
- Optimize frontend performance and ensure it meets benchmarks
- Monitor and tune frontend systems for optimal performance
- Collaborate with the product team on product roadmap
- Draft and review tech specs
- Lead optimization projects for memory management and performance
- Implement and maintain observability tools for frontend performance insights
- Contribute to and review code, ensuring high quality and performance across the team
You Will Be a Great Fit If You Have...
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Extensive experience in frontend engineering, especially in optimizing performance and memory management
- Strong knowledge of modern frontend frameworks, particularly VueJS and Vue 3
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex issue resolution
- Strong system design skills focusing on scalability and maintainability
- Experience maintaining high test coverage and code quality
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to anticipate and address potential system issues proactively
