Job Description
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and proactive DevOps Engineer, who has experience building CI/CD & IaC pipelines in Azure cloud, to join us for the next stage of our journey into automation. We are seeking highly motivated candidates who can continue to improve and automate our infrastructure while developing tools and standards, as well as helping respond to production issues.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with agile teams to help deliver the best solutions for our customers. Your insight and expertise will enable our software delivery teams to drastically reduce software cycle time while increasing quality through automation. Responsible for utilizing your technical expertise and experience in driving design and automation of processes to support the Continuous Delivery of application along with Infrastructure as a Code initiatives in major cloud (Azure) using Terraform and Ansible.
Responsibilities
- Improve the scalability, efficiency and reliability of supporting environments.
- Work closely with development teams for implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Engineer solutions, systems, and processes adhering to governance and compliance standards.
- Debug production incidents across our services and at a variety of levels of the stack.
- Contribute to infrastructure as a code solution that can support hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Provide day to day support with code deployments, environment automation, and troubleshooting application and database issues.
- Release Planning & Coordination: Works with other members of their assigned Value Stream to ensure that the Production releases for their in scope applications/platforms are properly planned and coordinated.
- This includes Holds Change/Release implementation reviews to ensure thorough and appropriate implementation plans.
- Manage and maintain reliable environments for Business and QA testers.
- Collaborate with Dev, QA and other IT teams on software release activities.
- Document processes and maintain knowledge base articles in Confluence
Requirements
- Solid working experience with production grade Terraform & Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
- 3-6 years of Software engineering, DevOps or related experience.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible or similar tool, such as Chef/Puppet/Azure CLI/CloudFormation etc for building IaC (Infra as Code) pipelines.
- Strong experience with developing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.
- Experience with (Git-based) source code versioning tools and VCS (GitHub, BitBucket, GitLab)
- Experience with programming using PowerShell, shell, python or any language will be a plus.
- Strong desire to automate tasks and improve how people think and work with technology.
- Experience with RDBMS (SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Proven success in implementing infrastructure automation solutions on a large scale, to include on-premise datacenters
- Skill to utilize tools and services such as Terraform, Azure-DevOps, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Ansible, Shell/Power shell scripting, Nagios, Docker, Octopus Deploy, Nexus, Vault, Elastic Stack, AppDynamics for alerting/monitoring, and troubleshooting them.
- Major pluses: Kubernetes, Docker, and Elasticsearch
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or any relevant field
- Any Cloud/DevOps tool certifications will be a huge plus.
