nJob Summary

nSeasoned Software Engineering professional, working independently. Conducts moderately complex tests and debugs control and diagnostic systems. Undertakes multidisciplinary research, and works on system capabilities analysis to determine end user needs.

nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

nSoftware design and development for windows based applications using Dot Net Technologies. Individual must have the ability to understand system requirements, develop a system design, implement using .NET Framework, NET Core, WPF, C#, gRPC, VB6, COM, C++, MVVM, SQL, Networking Technologies perform unit and system testing. The selected candidate must have a background in software development, design and code review, devices/system interaction and troubleshooting, and will be involved in all aspects of the system software development process (concept, design, reviews, coding, and validation). The selected candidate shall be able to work individually and with team software both locally and globally. Need to work with teams at global locations across different time zones.

nEssential Competencies:

• nStrong in .NET Core, WPF, MVVM, C#, gRPC, SQLServer and object-oriented software development
• nStrong in design patterns
• nStrong in Unit Test Frameworks (Mock, NSubsitute, Rhino)
• nStrong in SQL Stored Procedures
• nKnowledge on VB6, COM, C++
• nGood knowledge in Networking
• nExperience on Life cycle development process
• nDevelop and implement new software programs
• nMaintain and improve the performance of existing software
• nClearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
• nDesign and update software database
• nTest and maintain software products to ensure strong functionality and optimization
• nRecommend improvements to existing software programs as necessary

n Desirable Competencies:

• nKnowledge on Web Technologies is plus
• nExposure to safety critical embedded systems design for UL Markets
• nExperience with HPQC and UML is a plus

nOTHER COMPETENCIES:

• nUnderstanding of the entire system development process.
• nStrong English communication skills - oral and written.
• nAbility to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
• nAbility to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary.
