**Qualifications:**
- BE/BTech in Electrical / Applied Electrical. MBA is an advantage.
**Relevant Experience:**
- 10-14 years of experience, with at least 5-6 years in the energy sector.
- 3+ years in consultative sales/pre-sales experience within the utility industry, preferably in Power.
- Strong knowledge of Energy Software, Predictive Maintenance, Asset Management, and Smart Grid Concepts.
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Lead for Energy Software Pre Sales within the Energy & Utilities sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the energy industry and a strong background in consultative sales and pre-sales within the utility industry. You will be instrumental in shaping and driving our software-based strategy, offering innovative solutions, and ensuring the commercial success of our energy sector offerings.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Pre-Sales Technical Activities:** Support energy projects with technical expertise, focusing on software and consulting activities related to systems and hardware.
- **Subject Matter Expert:** Provide expert advice on all technical aspects of software solutions within the energy sector.
- **Third-Party Solutions:** Integrate new third-party solutions into CMS and build internal capabilities to sell and support these solutions.
- **Architectural Design Advice:** Offer architectural design guidance to customers during the pre-sales cycle.
- **Proposal Development:** Contribute to proposal tenders and solution specifications for customers and sales teams.
- **Mentorship:** Act as a mentor/coach as projects transition from sales to delivery and support.
- **Technical Support:** Provide technical support focusing on energy software to sellers and customers.
**Key Aspects of the Role:**
- **Thought Leadership:** Grow into a thought leadership role within the Energy/Utility market, driving software-based strategy and execution.
- **Commercial Strategy:** Define, build, and implement a commercial strategy for software offerings, including pricing strategies and commercial models.
- **RFP/RFI Management:** Manage technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses and assist in producing proposal deliverables.
- **Product Demonstrations:** Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and build demonstration materials in collaboration with internal and partner teams.
- **Customer Engagement:** Lead customer engagement at the CIO/Plant Head/CDO level, aligning client expectations with measurable outcomes and business value.
- **Go-To-Market Strategy:** Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy with the marketing team through various channels.
- **Sales Objectives:** Meet and exceed assigned sales and strategic account objectives in the energy sector.
- **Problem Solving:** Generate innovative ideas to benefit the company, recognize opportunities in the Indian energy sector, and execute strategic plans.
- **Talent Development:** Educate, train, and develop current sales/pre-sales delivery talent.
**Special Qualifications:**
- In-depth knowledge of Smart Grid, Energy Efficiency, Blockchain, Renewables, Asset Management, and other energy and utility software/services.
- Proven thought leadership with market and technology trends, capable of developing content and domain expertise.
- Strong business and commercial focus with experience in budgets, ROI, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Consultative and client-oriented approach, with a collaborative and problem-solving mindset.
- Executive leadership skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with peers and vendors.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with strong listening and process-oriented skills for continuous improvement.
- Highly organized, proactive self-starter with a focus on results.
