We are in search of an adept and seasoned Lead Data Scientist to join our expanding team. In this role, you will take on a crucial position in spearheading and executing cutting-edge data science projects aimed at solving intricate business challenges. You will oversee the entire data science lifecycle, from project inception to model deployment and continuous monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Take the lead in designing, developing, and implementing AI models for practical use, with a minimum of 8-10 years experience.
Display Advanced Proficiency In Applied Machine Learning Techniques For
- Price Optimization
- Demand Forecasting
Leverage expertise in Python, PySpark, and Scala to manage, analyze, and manipulate extensive datasets.
Showcase proficiency in working with Databricks across Azure and AWS cloud environments.
Work closely with diverse teams (engineering, product, etc.) to ensure data-informed decision-making.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior data scientists, fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking team culture (focus on technical mentorship rather than people management).
Maintain a research-oriented mindset and stay updated on the latest developments in machine learning and data science (a Ph.D. in Computer Science or Statistics is advantageous).
Continuously assess and enhance existing models to optimize performance and deliver business value.
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
At least 8-10 years of experience in building and deploying AI models in a production environment.
Preferably hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or Statistics.
Thorough understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical methods.
Demonstrated experience with Python, PySpark, and Scala for data processing and analysis.
Experience in utilizing Databricks in Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
Outstanding communication and collaboration abilities.
Capability to lead and guide junior data scientists (with a technical focus).
Avid interest in research and staying abreast of the latest advancements in data science.
