| Broad Role Description | The private cloud administrator is responsible for planning the capacity for existing and new business requirements. Should work along with partners for deployment of new applications and migration of existing applications on the private cloud and container platform. Should manage the day-to-day operations of the cloud and container platforms including creating the projects, VMs, deploying the containers, monitoring, backups, version upgrades, vulnerability closure and health of the clusters. |
| Key Role Deliverables | - Design and deployment of the Redhat Openstack private cloud and Redhat Openshift container platforms.
- Plan the capacity for the new business requirements, hardware sizing and budget proposals.
- Working with the vendors for implementation and operations support.
- Plan the migration of existing applications to Openstack private cloud and container platform.
- Regular monitoring of the clusters and working on the operational issues
- Regular backups of the cluster configurations and application work loads
- Planning the Redhat Openstack private cloud and Openshift container platform version upgrades.
- Creating projects for different application teams for application deployments and providing the required access.
- Regular user access reconciliation and security audit compliance.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE: - Exposure to ITIL concepts and adoption.
- Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes administration, RHEL and Redhat Openstack private cloud and Openshift container platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of YAML and JSON.
- Proven experience in installation of Openstack private cloud and Open shift container platforms and administration including network configuration, storage allocation, creating the projects and High Availability.
- Proven experience in Linux administration including installation, network configuration, LVM, file systems, hardening, user access, patch updates and vulnerability closure.
- Experience in installation of satellite servers, administration, and integration of servers.
- Strong working knowledge in hypervisors like KVM, OVM and Hyper-V.
- Working knowledge on Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Knowledge on ISMS and BCMS Audits and support
