A Brief Overview
The Lead Data Analyst is an individual contributor role with high career growth opportunity as well as opportunities to collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization. This role will be considered a subject matter expert for all things related to data execution and visualization. The ability to quickly learn and understand the TriNet's business will be underpinned with the knowledge of key indicators that will be utilized for critical analytics, insights, and developing recommendations. One of the key priorities upon understanding the data, SQL queries is the ability to create engaging Tableau dashboards and/or support PowerPoint presentations. As a successful Lead Data Analyst, you will be able to think strategically and thrive as part of detailed and fast paced price execution activities. You should have strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, creativity, and proficiency in working with large complex data set, developing analytical models, and turning insights into strategic or tactical recommendations.

What you will do

Create and improve data queries and processes to support Tableau dashboards and PowerPoint presentations that will influence pricing strategy and process across multiple lines of business to drive profitable growth
Analytics Capability: Work with large dataset, and develop analytical models to optimize pricing by segment, size, promotions, discounting, channel and renewals. Work with cross functional team to interpret the data and turn it into insights and practical business recommendations through storytelling and visualization.
Performance Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboard to measure effectiveness and outcomes of pricing actions
Voice of the Customer: Analyze and use qualitative and quantitative data to understand market segmentations, needs, value drivers, and willingness to pay. Extrapolates pertinent trends impacting business performance and incorporates understanding into decision criteria.
Strategic Insights: Ability to learn and or understand value based, competition based, and cost-based pricing principles and techniques, and be able to utilize a balance approach to support pricing insights and recommendations.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or Finance or equivalent experience required or
Master's Degree in Business, Economics, or Finance preferred

Experience Qualifications

Typically 8+ years of experience with a Bachelors (6years with Masters) with data analytics, building data models and working with large transactional databases across multiple platforms. required and
demonstrated experience in reporting, storytelling and visualization of data required
experience in insurance or other risk-based industries and analytics in SaaS, Human Capital Management, insurance and/or finance companies preferred

Skills and Abilities

Self-starter with ability to navigate complex situations and display outstanding problem solving skills with minimum guidance
Critical thinking and understanding of strategy, marketing and go to market principles
Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to effectively articulate insights and recommend actions to key stakeholders (Advanced proficiency)
Ability to work with large data set, complex data architecture, and multiple sources (Advanced proficiency)
High level of proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Power Point, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL or other analytical tools. (Advanced proficiency)
Proficiency in extracting data from Salesforce highly desired
Strong organization and project-management skills, including the ability to meet demanding, evolving, and often competing deadlines
Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization
Excellent written / verbal communication skills
Understanding of strategic pricing principles, including packaging, price architecture, & price differentiation
Intellectually curious and passionate about learning & improving existing analyses and processes
Familiarity with key analytical pricing techniques (bundling, price waterfall) while (qualitative interviews, quantitative research, Conjoint) are preferred
Experience with pricing software; setting list, target prices and discounting process preferred
