Lead Civil - Wind/ Solar

Job Purpose:

The Lead Civil Engineer is responsible for coordinating and managing all civil construction activities for wind projects. This includes WTG foundation work, pathway clearances, PSS civil foundations, and 33KV transmission line construction. The role involves analyzing survey reports, planning projects, monitoring resource allocation, and ensuring the timely and quality completion of civil works. Expertise in cost optimization, vendor billing, SAP invoice booking, and material reconciliation during project execution is essential. Experience with wind projects of at least 50 MW is required.

Job Context & Major Challenges:

The role involves a variety of tasks essential for the safe, efficient, and compliant completion of construction projects. Prioritizing the closure of WTG foundation work and efficiently handling local liaison activities throughout the project lifecycle are key challenges.

Principal Accountabilities:

Renewable Energy Project Leadership:

• Prepare and submit DPR to HO and review it daily.
• Responsible for constructing civil foundations of WTG and associated civil works for wind projects.
• Oversee site setup and all civil works as per project requirements.

Budget and Resource Management:

• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while adhering to sustainability principles.
• Procure sustainable materials, equipment, and subcontractors as needed for projects.

Quality Control and Compliance:

• Implement quality control processes to ensure that designs meet industry standards and renewable energy regulations.
• Ensure projects comply with environmental, safety, and sustainability regulations.

Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate potential project risks, including environmental, regulatory, and technical challenges.
• Develop contingency plans and strategies to address unforeseen issues.

Team Management:

• Recruit, train, and manage a team of civil engineers, environmental experts, and support staff.
• Delegate tasks, set performance expectations, and provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
