Job description:
- IT liaison for our sales and marketing teams, working closely with business to identify and analyze business needs to design real world analytics that address business opportunities in collaboration with the Data and Analytics IT teams.
- Involves documenting roadmaps, requirements, proposals, data sources, definitions, process flow, epics, user stories, test plans, etc. This includes working with internal stakeholders and external vendors to understand the data landscape and integrations between other systems and platforms.
- Aligns with solution architects to ensure that all teams deliver uniform results providing a consistent, governed, and supportable view of data across the organization.
- Supports stakeholders in gathering use cases and defining business requirements to properly design solutions for business users need for advanced analytic capabilities. Reviewing what data currently exists and what data is needed for actual business decision-making.
Relationship Management Responsibilities
- Provide strategic business analysis to drive capability development within each technology pillar and measure success by identifying contribution towards strategic objectives.
- Partner with stakeholder teams across business units (e.g. marketing, sales, trade, finance) to document necessary business cases to frame opportunities, benefits, and risks to decide on a course of action.
- Serve as the bridge between business problems and technology solutions by bringing a high proficiency to understand and capture complete business needs to enable effective IT solutions.
- Manage customer relationships, expectations and stay current with stakeholder needs and strategies by developing a communication process utilizing formal and informal written communication methods (for example, emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists) to communicate updates and findings and facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (e.g. senior management, customers, technical staff).
- Cultivate strong business relationships by demonstrating an understanding of needs, related processes, requirements, systems and terminology which lead to gaining rapport and trust.
- Liaison and collaborate between key stakeholders and IT shared services on support and maintenance related activities to ensure quality of systems.
Functional Responsibilities
- Analyze an organization or business domain, document the business processes or systems, and assessing the business model or its integration with technology.
- Drive identification of requirements across business units and identify systems and processes through evaluation of business objectives, drivers, and success metrics.
- Document business requirements and detailed functional and technical specifications from multi-department stakeholders for review and delivery to the development team using an agile model and develop epics, user stories, and their acceptance criteria for agile delivery.
- Participate in project delivery and process optimization to support the execution of projects using various project methodologies, including performing configuration within a variety of software packages.
- Identify change management processes and techniques to handle change within a business with minimal disruption to business activities and maximize adoption of new solutions.
- Develop test plans for given releases as well as execute system and integration test cases.
- Maintain awareness of best practices including processes and technology and identify opportunities for improvement of existing functionality.
- Analyze and interpret information technology proposals and evaluate possible implementation options and recommend the best option, being clear about pro's and con's.
- Ability to take a topic of higher complexity and break it into topics that are digestible by technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Handle multiple engagements simultaneously without compromising accountability or reducing level of engagement.
- Use existing or research new tools that improve the delivery of solutions to customers.
- Provide guidance and feedback to more junior analysts within the team to elevate their level of capabilities.
- Recommend and work within the established service level agreements to ensure key performance indicators are met.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or information management.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in, or working closely with, Information Systems or related area with proven experience facilitating technology-based project work.
- Functional knowledge of SAP HANA, GCP, PowerBI or related technologies and relation to multiple functional areas, including, but not limited to, sales reporting and forecasting, CRM pipeline reporting, sales quota/goal tracking, sales operations, eCommerce performance, etc
- 4+ years of experience in gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements with multiple stakeholders.
- Computer skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Demonstrated knowledge of agile management software and processes within Jira or similar.
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to tell the story. Experience communicating technical information to stakeholders, peers, management and non-technical team members. Experience translating functional requirements to highly technical team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively across the team with a growth mindset propensity towards action and learning.
- Ability to work independently and set priorities based on key milestones, impact to strategic initiatives, and high-level direction of management.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to process individual and team performance retrospectively, synthesize lessons learned, and apply new behaviors toward more successful outcomes.
Preferred Skills
- 2+ years of business process modeling experience preferred.
- 2+ years of technical writing experience preferred.
- Experience facilitating analytics projects related to AI/ML models.
- Understand SAP, or other ERP systems, and how to derive analytics views (facts/dimensions) to support multiple reporting use cases.
- Experience with CRM capabilities such as SugarCRM, Salesforce, etc
- Experience with marketing analytics platforms, such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
- Basic knowledge of Jira, Micro Focus ALM, Clarity, ServiceNow or similar.
